How do I block this thread from my feed?! This bacon waffle made me snack before dinner
I really like the looks of those waffles! Yumm!
I didn't post pix (didn't take any) of the boneless beef ribs I 'Qed the other day. Done 2 ways. One way, 100% in the smoker and the other way an experimental hybrid way using Sous Vide and in the smoker. Our guest preferred the 100% done in the smoker while liking both methods, but I think that the SV method has great promise for cooking now and mining the freezer during the winter and having BBQ by only warming the vac' sealed bag. Still working on the technique to perfect it.
This weekend I'm on boring food that I don't like very much. No roughage or fiber today and tomorrow. Monday just a light breakfast before 10 AM, then clear liquids the rest of the day, and lots of water. Then start drinking "stuff" for a colonoscopy. I'll be very glad when it's over so that I can eat a decent diet again. I wanted a salad with my supper, but my bowels will be very much more undignified before this is over. When I get home I plan on a great big salad, I might even assemble it before I go to get 'scoped. I suspect after 11PM when I drink the last of the gallon of "juice" I'll have plenty of waking time and not much sleep time. Plenty of time to make the salad then. Thank GOD I only need to get 'scoped every 10 years. Maybe next time I'll just tell them to skip it and I'll just take my chances. I absolutely hate the prep.

Brian, I have had two colonoscopies and have yet to meet someone who likes them. Honestly, I think the prep is worse than the actual colonoscopy. It's getting the all clear and being good to go for several more years that makes it worthwhile. Besides, I want you to get through with it, too, so you'll start posting those food photos again.

The colonoscopy went well, as I thought it might since I crammed for it all night. But since I was still under sedation I only had a tuna fish sandwich when I got home.
To night I wanted salad but instead of making one I had enough leftover EVOO based "slaw" to satisfy that itch.
I thin sliced some leftover BBQed boneless ribs and made a hot sandwich with a bit of Beals BBQ Sauce below and some of mine above. Delicious.
A few marinated mushrooms also were on order.

Thanks guys. Smooth as silk. I expect to need to see them in another 10 years. That is, if I want to undergo the prep again. By then I might just say no.
I don't want to change the subject of the thread, but the procedure nurse came in, looked at me, and asked why I was there? I responded that it was time for another look see. She asked me if I had had one before and did my family have a history of them, yada, yada. I answered her questions and then heard, "Oh, you're 62. You don't look that old." She was serious and I was flattered that someone should confuse me for someone who looks 20 years younger. I wish my body parts reflected that. Of course I thanked her.
