It has been years since I've used the ATT M1 and I've read so many complaints about it being too mild, including one from its designer, Stan, I wondered if I'd agree. I don't. It does feel very mild but I've gotten used to my Blackbird, my Timeless .95, my Artist Club, etc. With a slight tilt of the head, it's very efficient. I found myself doing the touch ups I invariably do regardless of which razor I'm using, i.e., the upper lip, the left side of my chin, etc. It's far better for me than the Feather AS-D2, which feels as mild but never gives me a result BBS. I don't plan to try ATT Windsors or the other newer lines, and I'm happy to say that I'm happy with the classic line they made. The PermaSharp was fine on its third use and Soap Commander is tops.
