Can only base this on other shaves experienced. Many here regularly get perfect shaves using various different soaps and razors. Such not case for me. Require extreme cushion and postshave
Razor: at minimum the H&S Copper equals or slightly exceeds my Wolfman WR1 DC custom which was easily best DE ever used
Soap: the Lavender is the 5th best soap ever used after ETHOS Green Fresh, Succes, Agrumes and DragonsBeard V2. All other soaps used beside the ETHOS have left neck more than ruddy. Of course there a hierarchy amongst the other brands tried if interested.
PreShave: ETHOS is slightly better than Grooming Dept mainly in convenience to apply being a stick. GD was quite good
SkinFood is just so head and shoulders above any AS ever used including my previous favourite ABC Apricot balm at a fraction of cost
Serum is working well but too recent to really fully ascertain. Seems better than Grooming Dept which also was quite good and Sebum which trailed GD
Overall was amongst best shaves ever but prefer the ETHOS soaps with fruit extract as they even more healing for my extremely damaged and sensative skin.
Apologies, neglected to grade shave:
To my mind there can never be a 10 or the world would end (akin to fool Fukuyama: End of History and Last man). So let us presume man and his doings imperfect with room to advance technologically. For kindness sake, let’s limit the human potential scale from 0-8. Further, as I can not achieve what normal skinned and nondisfigured people can achieve, let’s limit my scale from 0-7. Based on preferring the fruit extract to regular ETHOS soaps, let’s rate it a 6,5 based on little to no perceived latent pain and zero ruddiness anywhere including the neck. It may seem a tough rating but don’t believe in grade inflation - this is in top 0,1% of all shaves ever undertaken since a teen using a very wide range of hardware and software, some amongst best in the world and only behind the fruit extract ETHOS shaves using either Wolfman WR1 0,54 DC custom or H&S Copper.
