Do you still have that. My last shaving purchase was July 2019 I believe. Picked up the RR GC 84. It knocked my 6S down to 2nd place.

Have you stuck with the SS matte SB or tried other combinations. Thanks
Hey Wolverine!  I did notice you hadn't been around for awhile...it's good to have you back Smile.

As far as the 0.95 being a daily driver, it's really not for me.  But I shave daily and I could easily/comfortably use the .95 for 2 to 4 days in a row. The problem for me is that it's just too efficient.  I don't always need to shave the day after I use .95 but I do because I like to be clean-shaven for work.  If I were to use it daily though, I feel like it would be too much for my skin.

I do have a .68 SB as well and that one could be a daily driver for me. I would consider the .68 to be similar in efficiency to the 6S & GC.  The 6S is still my #1 shaver.  I really like the GC .84 but feel it can be "rough" at times.  The 6S consistently gives me close/comfortable shaves.  Personally, I think the .68 is similar to the 6S plate 4.  It's a smooth shaver but you do need to shave 24 hours later.

One of these days, I would love to try a Timeless OC or a polished version.  But I have tried to cut down on purchases this year so I don't know if that will happen any time soon.  Are you thinking about breaking your non-spending streak for a Timeless razor?

Timeless a good razor and the company staffed by good people. Agree with Hoosier regarding Timeless comments on 0,95 & 0,68 daily usage BUT could not disagree more on the Rockwell and Charcoal Goods.

Frankly, if a new Rockwell were gifted me, would donate it to charity and feel bad having burdened some poor soul with it - they remind me of something Gillette would give away with a blade purchase except Gillette would take more pride in the outcome.

Charcoal Goods makes unique razors well crafted but they just shave harshly on my face which is a shame as like their unique looks and they are well made.

I get GREAT daily shaves from my Rockwell 6s Plate 5. Is it as refined or sexy as other high end razors? NO. But a GREAT shaver for me !! One size does NOT fit all. They can be dressed up some too.

Wow!  Honestly, I think that's the first time I've ever heard a negative comment regarding the 6S.  (At least other than when they 1st released the 6S and the timeline to get the Model T completed.  But most of the time, I then hear good comments about how they went above and beyond to rectify the issues.)  I'm curious, was the shave not close or comfortable for you?  What was it that you didn't like?

As my Italian friend has described it, it is as though some teens in shop class undertook a project half heartedly and drugged.

Remember the series ”Breaking Bad”?  There was a scene where the drug addicted jr partner described his educational experience and substance abuse encapsulated by an admonition from his shop teacher: “is that the best you can do?”; to which the character later relaid that he put his heart and soul into the project only to trade his opus magnum for an ounce of marijuana.

That describes Rockwell to my perspective - cynical and middling: a $40 razor for more than double the cost. Even preferring mild razors, its shaves are unsatisfactory and the quality about the same as tools from Harbor Freight.  You asked.

HoosierShave  thanks for your info. When I first saw the Timeless it was a polished Open Comb with the scalloped top cap and I just really liked the looks. At the time I thought if I ever were to enter the $200 Razor segment that would might be the one. Although now I would probably go smooth cap and SB. Not quite ready to open the wallet yet.  Funny though it doesn’t take long here and desires start to rise. Angel

I just might have to pull the 6S out this weekend and run it through it’s paces as it’s been quite awhile.  I did start using a gripper handle it. While the original is by no means slippery I do feel they removed a bit to much texture during the bead blasting process.

Dave in KY very nice looking razor. Who did you have do it? Hey
