How is this pairing do on your skin for daily shaving John? I am having trouble finding a DE that can handle my skin gently but efficient enough for 1 pass and I struggle with avoiding irritation. How is the Mamba cutting angle on the skin?

The Mamba is quite mild but efficient for me with the vintage blades I use, especially with the light Stork handles. It has a fairly steep angle, much like the Feather AS-D2.

The REX and the 17-4 with a Feather and a Personna tungsten 74. I'm amazed how good the Personna 74 is, even sharper and smoother than the Feather.
The REX on 6-5 ( yes, mine goes up to 6.5) and subsequent passes on 4. The 17-4 is smoother and more efficient, but the REX gives me the adjustability I want for XTG&ATG while the 17-4 is always present and singing whether needed or not. The REX Ambassador is the finest adjustable I own and that includes the FB, 6S, Variant, slim, Futur, a faulty Progress and the Gibbs no.17
