I hope it is ok to ask questions in this thread. What is the purpose of shimming a blade in a Krona. My understanding was blades are shimmed in the older style razors made for thicker blades. ( I have never seen the use in that but some seem to need it) Am I missing something?

I hope it is ok to ask questions in this thread. What is the purpose of shimming a blade in a Krona. My understanding was blades are shimmed in the older style razors made for thicker blades. ( I have never seen the use in that but some seem to need it) Am I missing something?

Shimming lifts the blade up giving it more exposure and thus make's a mild razor more aggressive.
