HoosierShave, now that you have had a couple of shaves with it, what do you think of the Parker Variant?  2.5 is where I have mine set at, as well, and find it an ideal setting.

I wanted to get my wife The same razor but she is afraid to use a de razor. I've got a slim twist she Refuses to even try.
I wish she would start using a de razor, it would help me to get rid of my blades.

Freddy, so far, it’s been fantastic! However, I’ve been growing a goatee the past week so I’ve only used the Variant on my neck and cheeks. These generally are not problem areas for me. The real test will be when I go ATG on my upper lips. I really don’t think it will be a problem…the razor is so smooth and efficient everywhere else. Also, that test may come sooner rather than later - only 43 years old and there's A LOT more salt than pepper on the chin
