You likey?
I do. My favorite razor. And it works well with almost any blade that I throw at it. (Although I do have my favorites.)
I keep my eyes open for them. It's one of a few I covet. They sure are purty .

Every now and then one will pop up on the Buy-Sell-Trade, but they disappear quickly. Blackland will usually have some kind of sale once or twice a year, so it might be worth it to subscribe to their newsletter.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Done. Good info. I don't know much about them. I just the need to try one out for a while. Maybe I'll get lucky.

I hope you get a chance to try the Blackbird. In the meantime, here are more of my thoughts on it (in case you hadn’t already stumbled on this):

Today was the third Above the Tie razors in Phase 2, a DE R2 which is the medium plate with open comb. The three ATT razor are the left most pair on the top shelf and the second from the left on the lower shelf.

Yesterday was the SE2, an AC format using a Feather AC blade and I managed to nick myself.  Today's shave was the sixth shave on this blade and the blade was tugging.  The final result today is only OK, not great but mostly because I was still irritated from yesterday and the blade was at the end of it's useful life.  It ended up in the Used Blade bottle.

Today's cream was TOBS Lemon Lime and I used the Gibbs boar brush.  It's pretty much broken in already and so will move into the regular rotation. I finished off with some TOBS St. James spray stuff.

We are also really near the end of OCtober and tomorrow will be the last of the classic Open Combs, a Fatip Piccolo. I have a Rolls I'll likely try to work in Monday or Tuesday to close things out.

To be vintage it must be older than me!
The last razor I bought was the next to last razor I will ever buy!
