jar,
Exactly my experience with all six of my Valets.
I thought it was me. I tried all ways of adjusting my angles. Nothing.
In addition to the Valet strop I even tried honing and then stropping. Nothing.
Even old Valet blades didn't work.
Neither did using a Razorpit sharpener. But it never worked on anything.
I AM PUZZLED.
I got an OK shave with the newer Valet using the Feather Blades but so far have not been able to make the B1 version work even though many others claim it is the best of the AutoStrop series.
To be vintage it must be older than me!
The last razor I bought was the next to last razor I will ever buy!
