I was surprised. The Kai Captain Blue felt very harsh in my ATT SE1, on the first and second shaves with the blade.

Today I tried the Schick Proline. The Kai was fresh, the Schick I'd used four times in my Feather AC and it felt fine as of the last shave. In the SE1 it felt only marginally better than the Kai!

After the first pass (wtg) I switched it for a fresh Feather Pro. Now, in my Feather AC, the Feather Pro is far from my favorite blade. It's fairly smooth but unforgiving, and not nearly as smooth as the Feather ProGuard. So I didn't know what to expect.

In the ATT SE1, the Feather Pro provided a wonderfully smooth, nick and weeper free shave! It is now my go to blade for the magnificent SE1.

What does this prove? That when it comes to this hobby, YMMV!!! One man's perfect blade is the next guy's busted Heineken bottle, and vice-versa.
