Ikon SC 102 Slant - I saw something recently on Leisureguy that he thought the much maligned Derby Extra blade worked well in slants so I figured I'd try it.  Nope. it actually felt so blunt it was rounded.  After the first pass I switched in the reliable and beloved Feather blade and had a great shave - the 102 for me is such a smooth razor - the Tony Bennett of razors

Looks like you and HoosierShave had similar plans today. Funny thing is last night I was putting away some blades and I saw a couple of Derby blades that came with my first razor purchase and thought I should give these a try again. Well you guys helped me decide they will stay packed away.

Same here Marko. I love my 102. I haven't tried a Derby in it and I don't plan to either. Today it was with a Viking Sword blade on its 3rd use.
