Rockwell 6S - base plate 4 / Derby (2) and Feather (3)
The Derby's just don't work well for me. I really thought putting it in my 6S would cure the problem...after one pass, I knew I was wrong and tossed it

Today it was a straight razor called Old Faithful that was one of 2 that were gifted to me by Chris (BadDad).
I had one but it just has too many miles and to many trips across a stone. Had I only that blade to learn this on, I might still be using a DE.
The best thing about being a member of DFS has been meeting guys like Chris, not for the freebies, but due to his interest in others and kind nature.
A real class act as many of you already know.
And the shave was good also.............

When I die, I want to go like Gramps, quiet in his sleep - Not screaming like the passengers riding in his car.
Ikon SC 102 Slant - I saw something recently on Leisureguy that he thought the much maligned Derby Extra blade worked well in slants so I figured I'd try it. Nope. it actually felt so blunt it was rounded. After the first pass I switched in the reliable and beloved Feather blade and had a great shave - the 102 for me is such a smooth razor - the Tony Bennett of razors
