What R your feelings on flipping gear on auction sites for profit after buying on BST

Seller has allot of unobtainable software for sale. One could logically feel it came from WTB, WTT and PIF threads.

Personally, I'm ok with flipping for profit if your the original buyer and see an opportunity on the bay. However, I draw the line on members selling at reasonable prices to allow those that missed a product the chance to own said software just to have their generosity resold by large amounts of dollars.

This will always happen. You don't have to support it.

Always good to vet who you're selling to if you're concerned about this behavior.

True, but one could logically feel (?) that it came from a lot of places. Without concrete evidence, we won't really know for sure. Nothing is preventing people from buying different software, products that perform well at a moderate prices. There are a ton of them. There are even products that do a fantastic job at a dirt cheap price. People on the forums sometimes whine about not being able to get a particular razor or a particular soap at a decent price. Really people? Seriously? We have a huge variety of top-notch shaving products ready to ship tomorrow, all available at the click of a mouse.

It could be that whoever bought the product did not like it much after all, and is simply reselling it instead of chucking it in the trash. Like I said before, wetshavers are not at all lacking in affordable alternatives to pretty much everything. Using BST as a source of low-priced product to flip is not cool IMHO, but it is a free marketplace. That has absolutely nothing to do with what is going on at that ridiculous auction, however.

It is $112.50 at the moment. For a used soap. People on eBay must be stoned. They could get a brand spanking new Barrister & Mann soap for a fraction of that price.

Isnt there a locked thread on this same subject? I am sure this question has sent members down the rabbit hole before.

my opinion: if you put up something for sale and then sell it, you have very little right to be concerned with what someone does with the item(s) you sold to them previously...

This thread has so much potential … to become a disaster.

My thoughts:

1) Yes, I’d be disappointed if I sold a fellow forum member something at a very reasonable price, and then noticed that it was being flipped for much more.
2) If I ever sell “unobtainium” myself, I probably won’t sell it at original price, as that wouldn’t be its current market price.
3) That being said, if the current market price is completely ridiculous, yet someone is willing to pay the price, well — it’s always astounding to see, but it’s their money and their business.

Like has already been said, thankfully in today’s wet shaving market, we have options. No one is forcing anyone to pay top dollar to get good shaves.
