Gillette Sword. Carbon steel blades. I could not make it through my first WTG pass. They just would not cut through my hair...they pulled it out really well, but they wouldnt cut through it. Ditched them straight away, as this was not early in my experience...

No luck with Merkur and Feather.

More blades have been terrible for me than good due to my really thick facial fair. GSB, Gillette Platinum, Perma-Sharp, and Feathers are the only blades I use anymore.

I guess Derby, Dorco, Shark, BIC, and Wilkinson were the worst. I can't pick one as being worse than the rest.

Those you use are all great blades - I haven't tried the perma-sharps though, might have to tryablade some.

I once shaved with a Tiger blade. I wouldn't wish that on anybody. I wrote about the experience here: http://themileageonmyface.tumblr.com/post/34130206569

Bic was an abysmal failure. I've had shave ten times better form a cart. But other than that, no real contenders for "worst ever".

Derby. The ones that came with my EJ DE89 back in 2013 when I first got into DE shaving. Never tried again and tossed away. Maybe it was technique?

Worst all time blade? Merkur.

Fascinating seeing YMMV in action though.

I actually struggled to like the green Astra's or Derby blades.

I'm not sure, but I think that once Merkur has finished a long day of razor making they sweep the metal shavings off of the floor and stamp out blades with it. I'd rather shave with a garden rake.
I received a new Merkur razor a couple of years ago, placed the Merkur blade in the razor then had the worst shave of my life. It doesn't make sense to me why a company who makes such a quality razor would have their customer experience such a bad first impression.
It would be like buying a new, expensive sports car and having it ship from the factory with bologna for tires.
