Please let us know about your experience with Maggards / Brad. It will be nice to follow the story of this razor to the next chapter.

This looks like a great score from the wild. Looking forward to seeing it after it gets fixed up.

Maggard Razors don't normally recommend restoring a razor. So if he's wiling to do the job then there must be more to the razor than meets the eye.
I do know that the brand is well respected. The little I know is that the brand ended up being cutlers to her majesty.

Is not a resto job. He is just going to clean it up and basically make it shave ready.

Since I have never tried a straight razor, what do you think?

I'd say go for it. The frown can be removed, but I guess it comes down to cost of repair whether you go that route, or buy another. Either way, Hector, you have plenty of time in the mornings to give it a try.

Hector, now if I see your straight razor in your SOTD shots it will shame me into finally breaking out my hones, strops, and straights! I have plenty to get started, but have just been putting it off.
