I’d like to think that all of our likes will be preserved once the glitch is fixed. And I, too, am hoping for a tomorrow. Smile

Funny how crippling the loss of this one little function makes the forum feel. It just isn’t quite the same without it. Undecided

I agree.  The "Likes" give you a feeling of communication with others.  Without them it seems like I am just making a statement that goes out in space.

I sure would like to like all three of these posts...

And I had over 5,000 "likes". I sure hope they are preserved. I suppose it isn't much of a big deal if it isn't. I mean we will all get over it, if we have to start over with the likes, but still... he likes are an acknowledgement of agreement...

Afterall...Everybody wants to be wanted...I like to be liked!

Actually, there seems to be some progress being made, as I now see a post count and a number of likes both received and given. They don't match what was before, and the post counts don't currently match, but progress nonetheless!

Thanks andrewjs18 for being on top of it!

I had to reinstall the plugin and I'm currently doing a recount & rebuild on the thank you/like plugin. there's over 350,000+ likes on the forum so it's going to take a while to fully run. then I'll get debynory to fix up the templates some.

Not right I had 399 but at least something is back even if it 182 likes off.

YAY!! I can hit the like button, AND my "likes received" are where they should be!

andrewjs18 You ROCK! Thanks for getting the Gremlins behind the scene working away like slaves for us. I will boldly speak for everyone when I say we all appreciate your effort!

andrewjs18, just so you know, when using the DFS Dark theme (which everyone should be using by now Cool), when someone has liked a post, the “1 user likes this post” indicator strip is blindingly light in color. Perhaps the template fix will clear that.

Also, it looks like there’s some sort of colored icon or something else beneath the Like text on the Like buttons for each post.

Thanks for keeping DFS updated!

(EDIT: I just figured out that there’s a “thumbs up” icon beneath the Like text if the post hasn’t been liked, and a “thumbs down” icon if the post has been liked.)
