Abdul Karim Al Faransi - Abyss (2018)

Nice aquatic attar, minty and cologn-ish pleasant opening, followed by a monotone green driftwood evolution. Average projection and moderate duration, like floating near a flat coastline in a calm day rather than sinking into stormy abyss.
Which is perfect to end this sunny last day of holidays:

A bit like Fahrenheit by Dior only a tinge more sweetness with an airy take on the violet. Not as petrol heavy or gasoline note vibe that the latter had portrayed in its glory years (which I still love quite frankly but, unfortunately via int’l restrictions and reformulations it has been gutted and is a mere shadow of what it once was). There is a prominent wood note towards the mid & drydown that is cedar like but, not abrasive nor sharp. Just a smooth woods & musk collaboration with a slight Tonka note that ties it in quite nicely. Masculine yet gentlemanly aura that exudes a very nice level of sophistication & class. Very affordable from online discounters (under $55 US for a 100ml. bottle when I purchased mine) and I recommend it without reservation.
