TSAR – Van Cleef & Arpels

A few milliliters of Green Grail (allegedly: it is a splash bottle, and I have no olfactory reference for real deal) came my way. I'd say it's as floral as it is green, and the fragrance seems to have an uncanny ability to carry top-notes brightness all the way through to the finish. More cologne than forest, it is not at all challenging (imo) and is very, very likeable.

My grandfather wore this every day. I need to scoop a bottle again.

This was a recommendation from our friend at Catie's Bubbles. It fit perfectly with his Gardenia shave soap and AS. If you like florals, it's a banger.

Prepare for sticker shock.

Coincidentally, one of my thoughts during this wear was, had I known about Tsar before its extinction, it could've been a daily-wear or (quiet) signature fragrance.

Grandfather?  This came out in 1989; you may be the youngest guy on DFS.

Classic Match-Polo — Parfums Belcam ®

Varen — Stirling (L)

Impressive longevity out of the CM, and the dry-down pretty smooth and enjoyable. My Cosmair Polo seems to go AWOL in fairly short order; not so with the Belcam.

Yeah wow.... I can't believe the prices I'm seeing. You used to be able to buy it at a pharmacy for like $25 or something, to my recollection.

I was born in the early 80s Smile

I'm sure my grandmother picked it out.

I just asked my dad if he has an extra bottle stashed.... He said he might and said it would be "very old" and I'm welcome to have it Smile
