What fragrance are you wearing today?

If your tastes are something like mine, you are going to wish you had another liter of La Forêt de Liguest.  I've tested half a dozen of his other fragrances—including Confluence and Eau de Treget today—and none have really resonated with me the way La Forêt de Liguest does.

As I previously told you swellcat, I’ve unfortunately come at your same conclusion...
But unlike you, that small decant in my previous post is all La Foret I’m left with, so after that it will be addio for me...

Now, I usually refrain from suggesting fragrances, especially to someone I barely know. And even more if it’s an attar. But since I feel the same about our palates, I’ll broke the rule: Sheikh Al Faransi.
Imagine LFdL, but better: richer, deeper, more multifaceted. Don’t let listed notes on its page fool you, the ensemble is way more complex and different than one could think - especially if not familiar with natural oils world. You might ask where greenness is. Well, to my nose the Cambodi oud inside this gem has almost that same cypress-cedar-oakmoss accord from La Forete, just a little more balsamic and less earthy. Also its longevity is another strong point, a single swipe covers 8+ hours of evolving beauty. On an animalistic scale I’d rate it an easy 1/10, suitable for everybody.
Go ahead and take a 0.5ml sample, if not satisfied I’ll refund you. And in case, please report back here too because it would really mean that my nose is completely broken and I should just STFU!

Avoid/boycott is my usual response to vendors who ignore or mistreat polite customers.  Scents can be seductive, though, and I guess I wanted to imagine hawns somehow did not see your message.

What concentration do you have?  Extrait?  Parfum?  EDT?

Mine is aftershave that I just dab on something like an attar and get at least eau de cologne performance.  It's brilliant aftershave but too precious to go sloshing everywhere like Skin Bracer or something.

Insight might be one of the most tangible things we could gain here . . . but not by remaining silent or following a social-media version of the Oath of Omerta.  I actively seek and welcome this kind of feedback, so, please feel free to speak up.

Sounds enticing, and I'm grateful for the heads-up.

The attar price point I'm accustomed to with Al Rehab is around $1 per milliliter.  Sheikh Al Faransi comes in around $17/ml, before shipping, orders of magnitude higher than I've ever paid for any fragrance.  There is also a $50 minimum order.  I'll message you for input on some of the house's other offerings.

That’s what I think too. I don’t know him, but rude doesn't really seems a word anyone could attribute to Shawn.
Surely I’m not that kind of insistent customer, nor the one who chase you to throw my money at your feet, I just wrote him once more than a year ago.

Worse: alcohol-free aftershave toner, basically the lowest %! Still good enough to make me fall in love with it though.
Plus, his toners were pretty great from a skincare POV.

Paco Rabanne Pour Homme – First Generation (1973-1984/1986)

Reviewers say this is "dated" and for older people.  Thing is, it's what I recall as my favourite from when I was 19!  It also did not come with a warning label in 1985 saying, "Old folks only: Adolescents and 20-something cannot pull this off."
