Was middling and uninspired to my perspective. Perhaps its value lies in layering?
It's definitely different. Since it's primarily ambroxan some people can hardly smell it it all, some don't seem to care, and some dislike it intensely. Others find the cold, synthetic, metallic quality to be entirely enticing -- if there's a traditional note in it, I smell pear. One woman I know has this as her signature scent. I own this little sized one and I have to be in a certain mood for it. I was yesterday. Other days I don't want to go near it. As for layering, I believe some people do find it useful to layer but I don't believe it has the layering advantage that others get from iso e (like Escentric Molecules 01). I've not tried layering it myself, because it has (for me) so much more presence than Molecules 01 -- I'm not sure what I'd put it with. But with the right scent it probably could be really good to layer.
Addition to my post: I just did a search and I see in a few places (Reddit, Parfumo, TicToc) that some people do layer it. A bunch mention layering it with Le Labo's Santal 33 or Bergomote 22. Others have put it, not surprisingly, with pear scents; I saw one person said it worked great with Philosykos (from Diptyque). Another wrote this on Reddit, which I thought was cute: "I layer it with my patchouli 24 sometimes and then want to ravish myself ?" So, yeah, I might try to layer it next time -- probably something woody.

Do you get any bibliosmia? Realize there nothing driving that but it very present for me. Was a library and gym rat at about a 6:1 ratio with little time for anything else, so quite sensitive to notes recalling youth

I did notice some people mention that it smells like a magazine but I don’t get that.(01-14-2024, 05:10 PM)Lesser Wrote:That was the most reasoned review encountered to date.(01-14-2024, 03:23 AM)DanLaw Wrote: Was middling and uninspired to my perspective.
