What fragrance are you wearing today?

Wonderwood (Comme des Garçons) fresh sawdust

The scent pyramid lists nearly a dozen notes, but I mostly smell fresh sawdust, the kind that comes from running a sander over engineered wood. There's a good dose of vetiver, too, glueing everything else together. It's a sharp, lasting fragrance that's supposed to dry down to something wonderful. Six hours into this, and I'm still waiting for the good part to start.

Jubilation XXV (Amouage) fruit, incence, oud

This is a fruitcake of a fragrance, dense with the dark, sticky smells of spices and dried fruit partly fermented. Smoky incense whirls all around the confection, and deep down, permeating everything, is a rich musky oud.
