This evening, I still smell the Leather mix from above, even after s shower, so I tried a fragrance, that will build on the mix in a positive manner: Amouage Epic Man

Claus (CHSeifert), just for fun and curiosity, have you ever mixed a couple of fragrances that you thought would work but as they dried down they proved to be absolutely awful and you couldn't wait to scrub away the offending scent. Tongue

Interesting question, Freddy.

I can't recall that I have put on a mix, that made me wish I could scrub it off in a hurry, but I do have worn fragrance mixes, that did not quite work the way I thought they might do.

I would say, that the more you are into fragrances and scents in general, the more experience you have with wearing fragrances, the better you become at pinpointing out which fragrances might work in a mix, and which will not work so well.

For instance the mix I wore 3-4 days ago, Penhaligon Elixir and CDG Black - it did not work well. I will probably never use that mix again.

But it still smelled nice, they just did not compliment eachother that well.

I feel, that 9/10 times, when I wear mixes, the result is pleasing to my nose. This is why I continue mixing my fragrances. It's fun, and you go from having 500+ fragrances to literally having 1000's of fragrances combinations at your hand.

Unless you have a trained nose and a good deal of years experience of wearing many different fragrances, I would not recommend mixing fragrances.
