What do you take for shaving in your travel bag?

When we go on vacation I like to travel light, but I still need some essentials to stay well-groomed and comfortably shaved.  
I tend to pack:

Timeless SS 0.68 oc - a mild razor that I can practically put on auto pilot
Supply of new Blades, Astra blades are a good choice for me
MÜHLE Silver Anodized Aluminum Silvertip Fiber Travel Shaving Brush
Timeless Plastic Shaving Bowl
Myrsol Liquid Shaving Cream - needs little or no water to produce a good lather.  
good after shave balm in a small bottle.  Haslinger makes one I like 
A small alum block.  OSMA makes one I like that fits in my small plastic case

The razor, extra blades, travel brush and alum block all fit together nicely in an inexpensive manicurist plastic storage box I found on Amazon.

I usually take one or two shave sticks, an aftershave sample bottle or two, synthetic brush for fast drying, and one razor (usually an injector or a feather popular). We have a 2 week trip coming up in August so I have been thinking about what gear to bring, I figure I’ll bring a couple more things for variety.

The last time I went anywhere overnight I took a tuck of Astra SP, Edwin Jagger DE87, stainless steel lather bowl, Stirling 2-band Synthetic, Mitchell's Wool Fat soap, 100 ml bottle of Reuzel aftershave splash, alum stick, styptic pencil.

And a small pair of blunt-tipped scissors that look something like this:


Now that I think on it, I had a handlebar at the time (8" tip-to-tip), so there would've been a fine-tooth comb and a tube of göt2b glued spiking glue (which I favour instead of wax).

That’s a great set up! Only problem is you have to check your bag!

Not if you go by train, the only civilized way to travel. 
(Except maybe for a cruise ship, but I've never been on one, so I cannot vouch for it.)

Very true! I love train travel vs air travel.

RazoRock Baby Smooth razor & a tuck of blades in a small canvas case from Razor Emporium, Stirling Li'l Brudder synthetic brush in a 3D-printed tube from FrugalShave, a sample soap tin (I have lots in a drawer) from WSP, and a bottle of balm from Eleven (they're fairly small). Oh, and a collapsible silicone dog bowl with nubs in the bottom for lathering.

If I were flying I'd swap out the razor & blades, but I hardly ever fly.

I love my shaving hardware and software, but I am not going to risk my best stuff when traveling.
I would never consider traveling with something as expensive as a Timeless razor or Muhle brush.

The razor I take is a Van der Hagen/Weishi TTO that I can replace for $20.
If I am driving, I take is a 6 oz tube of Cremo costing $8. If flaying, I use shampoo and conditioner from the hotel.
The brush I take is a synthetic Boss knot that cost me $10. The synthetic fibers dry quickly.
While Cremo can be applied without a brush, I whip up a pseudo-lather in a coffee cup from the hotel room.
The Cremo is far slicker when mixed with water.

Thus, if my shaving kit is lost or stolen, I can replace everything for under $40. It is also easy to leave things behind in hotel rooms.
When I used to travel nearly every week when I was still working, I had a routine to check for items I might leave behind.
Every now and then I still lost stuff that I missed.
In retirement, I travel only 2-3 times per year, so any routine I once had has long since been forgotten.

Travel Shave

Razor: Electric Braun S3
Soap: Cremo Coconut Mango
Brush: Trafalgar T3 (with travel tube)

Traveled a few times with traditional shaving equipment including DE razor, blades, shave soap, brush, etc. and found it rather inconvenient. This razor is wet/dry and damp brush was used to create a light lather on a wet face. Yes, you can lather Cremo a little bit. If while shaving skin starts to feel dry or sticky just dip razor under water and keep going. Clean up was also a breeze with hot water and equipment dried quickly. This is my new travel combo!
