I bit the bullet again...I ordered a Shoubudani type 100 Japanese Natural finishing stone. These things are supposed to provide and excellent finish on straights, and they sell out very quickly, so I saw one was available, and I jumped on it, rather than lose it to someone else.

Costs about what I expected, which was more than I wanted to spend today but...I think when it arrives it will prove it's value...
