John, this is my second purchase of Cologne Russe. I bought it first time round, last year. Will's scents are complex and I found them quite difficult to appreciate, initially. I passed the soap on to another member, here, who enjoyed the sample I sent him. I am not sure if this latest batch is identical to the first as I seem to recall Will saying that as it contained so many ingredients, it was unlikely he'd make it that way again. Perhaps Will, or someone who has experience of both, can enlighten us.

I have some Pierre Cardin shaving cream coming now. I'm not sure just why I thought I needed to buy it, but I think it might pair well for superlather with some of my old, lightly scented shaving soaps, such as Williams Rose, Avon, Harrods, and Ralph Lauren Safari.

And I just bought some Aramis J.H.L. shaving cream to match with my J.H.L. shaving soap. Now if I could just find the aftershave to go with them...
