Vintage Shaver
Seattle, WA
(This post was last modified: 06-12-2016, 07:39 PM by churchilllafemme.)
I now have 6 vintage sticks of Floris Verbena shaving soap coming. I don't know if I'll shave with them as sticks or if I will grate two together into a bowl and use like a puck.

I figured for $20 shipped I could take a chance.

Shipped? Good deal man.

As usual, breaking in period would be a drag but the brush is pretty good for face lathering.

It's a lather Houdini though, not sure if it's the same with the 830.

How much did the mdc cost?

I have some cream samples coming, castle Forbes, dr harris, and gft. Which ever performs best I'll order full size. Too afraid to have too many creams because they'll dry out or go bad before I go through them.

The 830 is just a floppier version I guess the 620 has a little more backbone from what I have read. I still use it a lot. If you are in the US it is actually $22 shipped from here.

Congratulations, John. Those sticks are superb and, thankfully, haven't given me a reaction, unlike the No.89 pucks. Use them as intended. The soap is pretty soft and a doddle to rub on the face.
