Hi Eric,

The short answer is far from fair or complete, and a far better answer IMO is provided by Jannik Wald on his Synthetic Knots page.  The short answer gives the specs.  The Knots page details how and why the materials were chosen, how they are assembled, and how the final design was decided on.  That information clarifies what is special about the Wald knots.  All that said, the knot is a Wald A1 Synthetic 29mm bulb.  There is also a fan.  Loft details are on the knots page.

What kind of a enabler friend would I be if I just gave you the name and specs?

I am SOOO STOKED !! I've wanted an Imperial Design ABC Razor FOREVER but wouldn't pay the crazy prices. Jusr snagged one that should clean up nicely for a GREAT price. In a CASE too !!!
