That Bald Guy with the Big Beard
Bishop, CA
I traded a couple of redundant DE razors from my collection for a "shave-ready" straight and strop from steeleshaves that I have been patiently watching sit in the Postal Black Hole of Des Moines, IA since 3/31. It arrived in California just before midnight last night, at the last sorting facility before packages get to Bishop(most of the time). Hopefully it will arrive this evening at my home.

I am so excited to actually shave with a razor that has been properly honed to see if my "mistakes" are errors in technique, or the results of a less-than-sharp blade. I suspect my blade is the culprit, as most of my injuries were the result of skipping, which is clearly the result of the blade not being sharp enough to cut cleanly...

Keeping my fingers crossed for that "Out for Delivery" text from the USPS!

Finally pulled the trigger on Mike's Natural Soaps ...
Coconut
Lime
Rose and Cedarwood

Soaps are on "pre-order", I could be waiting for a bit, yet I hear it's worth the wait!

Since I sometimes buy partially used aftershaves from sellers, I can end up with two or even three partial bottles of the same product. But some of the bottles have tiny openings, making pouring from one to another very problematic. So I have some cheap plastic pipettes on the way, which I'm going to try to use for transferring the liquid from one bottle to a second one that I want to fill.

I actually like the OC DLC. Tech too but it requires far more attention based on blade exposure/gap. Look forward to your thoughts!

I have Roam out as well as Lavanda, Limon, Sandalwood and Bay Rum inbound from Barrister_N_Mann .

Well, after much patience, aggravation, then more patience, then more aggravation, and then a resigned amount of patience to a situation that cannot be controlled, I finally received my "Out for Delivery" text.

So when I get home tonight, I should have a new(to me), shave-ready straight razor to play with!

YAY for DFS, the B/S/T, and good members willing to make great trades!

Chris, I could not agree with Kevin more.  The time you took with me and the gift you sent while I was trying to work on my moustache (still, definitely, a work in progress) speaks volumes about your good heart.  You deserve all good things that come your way. Happy2
