I decided that I had too many stainless steel razors, so I have sold one and another is listed for sale. On the way from James is a Wolfman WR2-SB in Premium Antique Bronze, with a 1.25mm blade gap and the solid 90mm WRH7 handle.

Heritage Brushes Very excited to get these two yes it’s nothing crazy or special but I like it and what he is doing behind making these brushes to exact specs..

1st brush Ever-Ready500E with 26mm Syntetic knot
2nd is Star 26mm needs a knot so may set G5 26mm synthetic knot…wooden handle I may use polyurethane to have that perfect Finish  Happy2

Very excited about this  Smile

A few years ago I bought this Canadian-made Rubberset brush at an antique shop. The knot was completely worn off in the middle, leaving only a fringe of bristles on the perimeter. I fell in love with the "pillars" in the white part. I got most of the knot and plug cut out, but there was still a lot of glue, and I wasn't exactly sure what size knot it would take by the time I got it all out.
Today my son bought a Dremel-type tool, and I already had a perfect drum sander bit for it. After 15 minutes of sanding the interior I was able to determine that it would take a 22 mm knot.

I would've wished for something more like a Cashmere knot from APShaveCo, but he didn't have any in that size. So off I went, tappity-tap, to Razor Emporium and bought myself a 22 mm (20 mm plug) Best Badger knot:

I figured that the badger would be a better visual fit than a modern synthetic.

But wait, there's more!
I also have this Frankenrazor at a flea market, a Canadian Gillette Reverse-Stud Goodwill head on an aluminum Soviet-era Czech-made "Soluna" handle.
I like the head, but as exotic as the handle may be, I don't much care for aluminum handles that are too short for a good balance.
So while I was at Razor Emporium I also got a bare brass repro ball-end handle for it. The plan is to buff the Goodwill head down to shiny brass to match it (better).
It's only 28 g too. Most modern handles like the solid stainless ones seem way too heavy for my taste.

When the original finish started cracking and flaking off, I got good results with glossy Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane on this guy:

I watched it for a while and fought the urge that I needed it until I finally caved. As you know it was well below the market for them and I was surprised it didn't sell the first time or two around. Thanks

A rare G2 Injector with the round ferrule is on its way to me from eBay for cheap and will then be going to Back Roads Gold to be redone in Gold Plating due to a very generous member who gifted me a BRG Replate Gift Certificate. He wanted to be anonymous so I won't tell you his forum name rhymes with "Daine Cooper" Thanks Eric......Oops Big Grin
