That a PayPal scam. Irrespective of what purchased and the excruciating detail of the transaction communication, as long as a pkg shipped, even if containing feces, PayPal will consider the purchase fulfilled. That came directly from a PayPal Disputes Resolutions Manager when a seller sent an actual brick to my customer versus the $5000 Ti exhaust for which he had paid. Fortunately, and unbeknownst to the seller, my customer had a local police contact that paid a visit on his behalf.

And more follow up: Today I received a very small parcel, in which there was just a tiny plastic toy block. Evidently it was sent so that the seller could show PayPal the USPS record of delivery. What scumbags. And yes, what a fool I was.

All's well that ends well, as they say. PayPal decided in my favor and issued me a full refund. (I think it helped that I changed my dispute from 'it hasn't arrived' to 'it's NOT what was offered,' and I enclosed a bunch of photos.) Have I, at my advanced age, learned my lesson? We'll see.

That's good John but if you're anything like me, the lessons don't last long in my memory and the learning cycle continues Big Grin
