UK Red Tip blade gap is 0.81mm
USA Red Tip is 0.66mm
So more aggressive for sure...but in a lovely velvet glove sort of way

Well, that very interesting according to my research on the UK Red Tip blade gap is 0.68mm, how did you investigate it was 0.81mm????

Is that a II or a III stamped under the baseplate? Can only see II clearly.

I’ll let you know when I get the English Red Tip, just arrived in Australia today waiting for custom clearance before postage delivery.

Finish and form seems in very good shape, but there's always the unseen with these blurry online pics. Case in point: Pic (not posted) of the underside is too blurry to tell what the date code is. The rectangle slots say post war for sure, though.

Should be here Tuesday evening to better analyze. I only have (2) ball end techs right now, so I'm excited to get and try a fat handle. [Image: a0839380bfed97d90a6810e4967fb8c7.jpg]
Fat techs are great. I find them better than the regular ones.

Just received it tonight. No date code. Rectangle, so again, post war. Not aluminum, so has to be before the 70s, I'd think. Condition is ok. Probably a dime a dozen ... nothing special, but to me it's awesome to finally get one (and in gold tone). It should be a "III" not a "II"
