That coral rod stock that Bernd has is amazing to my eye. Well done John!

Mesquite abounds here in Southern Arizona. That said, I decided to have Rudy Vey do a classy, but simple brush for me using Mesquite. Mesquite is a very hard wood, but slightly less hard than 'Ironwood'. Problem is that Ironwood has been harvested in amounts greater than the tree can replenish itself, therefore it is now protected in AZ.

Rudy sent me this picture of my brush. He will engrave the logo later this week, then glue the knot and ship it out. BTW, the knot is smaller than any of my other brushes. It is a 19mm Mühle Silvertip Fibre synthetic knot. It'll better do the smaller interstices in my face. Just can't tear myself away from the synthetics!

Thanks, Kevin. Yes, it looks beautiful. I'm anxious to see it in hand.

When is he opening his waiting list? His razors are stunning but he just can't seem to produce them fast enough.

I don't know I was waiting on this one for quite some time.

I thought it was open. I was told that an individual at a different gathering site just placed an order for a Ti. Huh

I think it will be open soon. If you send James an email, he will let you know.

In his answer to my email question, James said to watch the "Availability" tab on his website. It is there that he will state exactly when he's open for reservations on his "Wait List" again. His estimate is sometime during the month of January or February.
