What do you do for a living?

As part of getting to know one another, and to see the diverse nature of a crowd such as ours, what do you do for a living?

I am a senior reactor operator (shift manager) at a nuclear power plant.

I do IT support. right now it's level 1 work, but I'm very capable of doing level 3 & 4 work and probably a level 1 system analyst.

I was retired, now I consider myself semi-retired.

What do I do for work? When I retired I swore to myself that after all those years of doing what others wanted me to do I would only do those things I wanted to do anymore. So I only "work" at my hobbies, so I suppose I don't work at all. When I do "work" to make money I make shave products, and teach handgun (NRA certified instructor in a few fields). The rest of what I work at makes me no money; gardening, DIY, cutting firewood, and are all done for enjoyment even though I suppose most would consider them chores. Pure enjoyment hobbies are competing with a handgun (USPSA), and photography when I find the time, Oh and cooking; I'm a passible cook and baker. I have a lot more hobbies than those. I just wish I had more hours in a day; hours are always in short supply.

For 25 years I was a 3rd level IT systems engineer and project manager. I am now finishing up my last 2 semesters to be a nuclear medicine technologist. It's one of the reasons my time in the board is cyclical as time management delegates the forums to a lower priority.

I'm a Systems Monitor (sounds more tech related than it really is) for a retail chain.  I've been working at various stores since 2000.
