What DE Blades work Best for you using Carbon Razors…

To me personally using platinum Tiger SS and Astra Blue Superior SS Vintage works like a charm haven’t tried many DE’s blades in it to experiment but heard using Wizamets and Polsilver works the Best..?

Overall it’s a fantastic razor and way to find angle with it never had once struggle with it!!

Best Regards

I like a lot of blades in the Carbons…I was using Kai blade as my favorite for a long time. If you have Personna Platinum Chrome, those are a nice pairing for some common blades. This year I really dived deep in how some of my various Gillette blades worked. The ones I really liked and was using for about 3 months were the Gillette black Winner Platinum and Gillette China London Bridge. Not sure if you have those or not but I think you should be able to find plenty of good pairings. Feel free to check out my various shave vids on YT you can see an entire evolution from my first use of the Carbon in spring 2020 and continued use over the last 2 years.

I’ve been using RK Chromium Blades for close to a year now. Got turned onto them by Pete Hendrix from HC&C. I use them 3 times and toss them. Very inexpensive, sharp and smooth.

It depends on the plate.  With the original (.68) I like Nacet the best.  With the mild .71, it is KAI or nothing for me.  The other plates I tried on a pass around, and the + was ok and the ++ wasn’t for me, but I shave every 1-2 days.  I actually sold my .71 plate this weekend and will try to acquire an original back up or a +.

Nice  Happy2 for me + plate is way to go and Polslivers are magic in it but again YMMV..

I would love to retry the + plate.  I only had 2 shaves with it.  I think the mix between gap and positive exposure might make that a better plate, but I was struggling after a rotator cuff surgery and using my other arm to shave poorly.

For my in my Wolfman Astra Blue Superior Vintage pair up like magic ultra smooth and nice shave afteral..I really enjoy using vintage Polsilvers that are made in Poland and all I can say that they are  Best Polsilvers I had tried, as per Wizamets and regular Polsilvers they tend to give me irritation but I may have to experiment more with it…
