a sample of Barrister's Reserve Cool...I just finished it up today, actually.

I'll definitely buy a bottle when it's made available!

Dead on scent, but WOW is this a spicy splash! It has more bite than my Captains Choice Cat o' 9 Tails! I didnt think my shave was even remotely discomforting, but this splash was burning me up!

Kind of glad I only got a small sample, because Im not sure I can handle it, and I really enjoy a Co9T burn....

Perry Ellis 360 Red aftershave balm. This is pretty much just an Acqua di Gio clone.

Chris, I had the exact same experience with Stirling's Bay Rum. Its much too clovey for me. I think that's why it lit me up too. There was an intense burn and it made my skin turn red, but after the burning subsided there was this wonderful warming sensation. So for me it was kind of a love/hate thing. Like you said though, thankfully it was only a sample. I didn't like the scent enough to endure that for a whole bottle.

Oh, and today I used Chatillon Lux Champs de Lavande AS.

Yea, I love the burn from Captains Choice Cat o' 9 Tails, which is very intense to start and dries down to a wonderful warming sensation.

I just didn't expect that from the Bay Rum. It caught me by surprise. Where I was expecting it with the Co9T, the Bay Rum was a total "off-guard" moment. I think I'll have to stick with the Captain's Choice...
