ETHOS Vetivert Skin Food:

A friend let me sample this as times tight due to Coco cancer treatments and personal issues.  Frankly, could never have afforded this.

This scent, in short, is by far the best vetiver scent ever encountered in a soap or 'after shave'.  Hard to compliment the scent enough really.  Good God, better than Guerlain!!!  As with all ETHOS Skin Foods, it the best healing AS splash/spray on the market.

The soap base is not as firm as feared although still prefer the original.  It is easily scooped and bowl lathers readily; amazing how quickly it lathered even if not exploding.  The lather is thinner than original to my perspective BUT, in fairness, slicker and about as cushioned - this definitely a lather one paints as opposed to swirls.  The rinse was clean and more easily accomplished than with the original base; post shave is about equal to the original which was the primary fear.  Off the puck it is uninspiring but left out to air a few days, it develops into something extraordinary.  Wish it were more projecting would be only advice for improvement.  When lathered it just heavenly directly under the nose whilst shaving.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Well and truly, was prepared to give a good but not glowing review, however can't lie. This is right there as Frank's best work so far. Safi may be the masterpiece but this neck and neck with other stars in his line up. Had I the dosh, would buy it in a heart beat - nah, would have gone back in time to buy it yesterday.

Italian Barber's GIT

I'm getting very low on this stuff, which is discontinued, and I was thinking "well, I can hardly tell the difference between GIT and RazoRock's Irish Countryside (both being a species of Green Irish Tweed) so it won't be so bad to run out of it".

Then I found this review for Irish Countryside AS on the Italian Barber site:

I read someone calling this a perfect match for GIT so I pulled the trigger. They are so wrong.
This has a couple similar notes to GIT. It smells great and compliments the cologne well but it's a little too sweet and misses the mark on what makes GIT what it is.
As always though with RazoRock it leaves your face feeling great. The scent strength is good and does project well.
I will always continue to buy the RazoRock aftershaves but not so much this one.
I.B. followed up with:
Quote:Hi [name], This is exactly GIT. We just changed the label and put it under the RR brand.

Is it possible the reviewer was referring to the actual Creed Green Irish Tweed which many will simply reference as GIT?

Hmm. There is that possibility, but in this context he should have used the full name. That's very likely why they rebranded it.
Confused2 Unless ... he was totally unaware of the IB GIT, since there was no overlap in availability of the two products. Unfortunate either way.
