Vintage Penhaligon's Castile aftershave. I had been wishing this had a stronger fragrance, but then I finally realized that at my relatively advanced age, I've probably lost a significant portion of my ability to smell. (Other aftershaves, however, still smell normal to me - are they actually too fragrant for younger folks?)

My guess would be that if other products smell quite normal, this one has just lost some of its “zest” along the way, and perhaps had slightly limited scent strength to begin with.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
