Simpson Chubby 2 Best w/ Yardley Shaving Soap:
Here we have an early Simfix era Simpson Chubby 2 Best with a knot measuring 30 x 54mm. It is a very dense brush with firm backbone and scrubby yet mostly soft tips. As with almost all Best Badger brushes of this era there is a hint of scritch, but nothing that I would consider uncomfortable and I am very sensitive to scritch. The brush is in excellent condition and comes in it's original box (with the original price of $229 written on it), with tissue and instruction sheet. Along with the Chubby I am including a partial bowl of Yardley's famous shaving soap. I hacked this soap up a bit trying to remove a sample (Yardley was molded in the bowl rather than having a loose puck like most brands), but the soap still works as perfect as it ever did. Somerset Duke 3 Best w/ Barbershop Shaving Soap
Another classic from the original Simpson family business, this Duke 3 has a knot measuring 25 x 48mm. Moderately dense, scrubby and again just a hint of scritch, this brush is classic Best Badger at its finest. The handle has the original lamp blacking in excellent condition and it includes the original box. Included with the brush is a partially used Barbershop shaving soap from the late 70s. This underappreciated soap provides a nice stable lather and still has its original scent. Take both for $150 shipped Priority US. SOLD!
Proraso and Slant Kit:
Here we have a new Proraso Sensitive shaving soap, well broken in but only used twice Proraso Professional shaving brush and a twice used Italian Barber slant safety razor. Everything is in excellent condition and ready to get someone started on the wet shaving road. I will also include some blades. Take it all for $30 shipped US.
