Already have the v3 but I'm curious how the stainless is any different. Let me know if you guys have one you'd be interested to sell. Smile

Just wondering if you are referring to the original 50 (I think)test slants.  Sorry I do not have one. I have the V2 but I too wonder about those as well. It seemed that those who bought other versions of the RRSS seemed to believe that those first ones were better.  I believe  most thought the V2 was more aggressive and not as smooth.  I moved shortly after that and was away from reading any forums for quite awhile so never really ever followed what had happened with the project or why it stopped.

Good luck. Hope you are able to find one.

Thank you, I appreciate that.

I have the v3 and v4, but I heard the v1 is milder, and I figured it might work better for my sensitive skin. I don't know much about the v2, it's the Kiyara, right? Not sure if it's a milder than the v3 or more aggressive.

My V2 is the Stealth black one.  Both the Stealth and Kiyara  were available at that time.  The prototype test slants (V1) always seem to be talked about as being milder.  I'm pretty sure that Joe at RazoRock said their was nothing done from the test batch to V2 that would make it more aggressive.  Seems like maybe a little better finish etc. and it came with a stand.  That was in 2014 I know the other big wet shaving forum had a lot of posts on the trial with feedback etc. during the trial.  Never had the V3 or the V4.  I don't find the V2 to be aggressive but I also did not find it to be so mild that you couldn't cut yourself or get razor burn (cause I did it) like they seemed to be saying about the test batch (V1).

V1 was too mild for me so I sold it. I haven't used any of the others after that though.

Aww.. wish you sold it to me dan.. ha-ha!

I changed my title to DLC, maybe I will have better luck. I wouldn't know what version it is too to be honest.

I'd like to compare the stainless version to the aluminum that I have.

The DLC is wicked heavy, it was too heavy for me. I have had the DLC, V2-3 (I forget) and the V1. The V1 is the only one that I ended up keeping.

The DLC was more limited and expensive from what I remember. I sold mine for cost, but people were fetching hundreds of dollars for them on ebay once they were gone.

Good luck either way, but I'd keep searching for a V1 if I were you.

I have one on it's way to me woot! However I am not sure yet if it's the v1. Crossing my fingers on that one! I'll go post a pic when it gets here, will you recognize a v1 from the pic?

I am confused though, is there no Stainless version of the v1? You were refering to the aluminum v1 version, right Bruce?

Btw thanks for the tip, I appreciate it. It's been a long itch of mine these stealths. When I was first starting out, I constantly watch review vids on youtube, and the Stealth had been one the razors that got me most curious. That and the weber dlc.

@Aurelan28. They all look the same to me, except some came with stands and some were brushed aluminum color and some were black.

I have the Aluminum V1, it was $50.

I had the Stainless Steel DLC (there was only one version of this one, not sure generation they were compatible to and then he didn't make any more), I think it was $99 when I bought.

I never tried the Stainless Steel (NON DLC) V4, it was $89.

Some info here on early versions and I stand by my posts in that thread. I think v1 was the best and still believe there was some changes to blade gap or angle between v1 and v2.
