I'd like to buy some first formulation XPEC shaving cream (with parabens), scented or unscented.
Thanks.

Thanks.

Connaught has had it on sale for a few months for 24 pounds, which comes to $33.98, plus to $5.09 shipping to the US, for a total of $39.07. That is the best deal I have ever seen on XPEC. The exchange rate on the pound is in your favor right now so you might want to consider buying it there.

Thank you. I went ahead and ordered some there. Now I have my fingers crossed that it really is the original formulation and not just mislabeled new version.

I wish I could tell you, just figured it would be what it says it is. The owner is a member here so maybe he will chime in. I have only used the current version. From what I read at Old Town Shaving, there is no loss in quality with the new version. Hope it works out for you regardless.

I thought by "original" they mean original scent.

churchilllafemme you will likely receive the new formulation. The reason why I believe this is because the XPEC labeling is a bit confusing - "Original" does not refer to the original formulation of the cream, but rather refers to the scent of the product which is called "XPEC Original". Many gents have been ordering the "Original" thinking that they would receive the original formulation.

If you are looking for the first formulation with parabens, it would be best to not use the term "original" because it could easily be confused with "XPEC Original", which as I mentioned refers to the scented version of the XPEC product.

Good idea, thanks.

Well, I was able to get a jar of the old unscented version, but I'm still interested in getting one of scented too.

What differences do you find between the V1 and V2 ?
