Gents,

I don’t have very much information on this aside from the soap and matching porcelain mug came from England, and it’s pretty rare.

I acquired this set completely unused, and the shave soap was so well wrapped in tin foil it still has fragrance.  To me it smells somewhat like a bar of Dawn bath soap, but with a little more lemon in the background.  It is pleasant enough, and smells old school masculine (same genre as Gillette Sun Up or vintage Old Spice).

The performance of the soap is really really fantastic!  It performs like a great vintage tallow based soap does, but the BB soap had no ingredient list.

Does anyone have additional information or photos to share?

Thanks!

Here was today’s shave!  It was really SUPERB.  I also used a vintage Barber Miracle Edge blade on its first use.

Thanks!  I love it as well!

As I was lathering on the puck I was thinking to myself how neat it was...to be using something as it was designed many decades ago that had just sat in a box or on a shelf somewhere for all that time!

Gents,

So I was browsing eBay again, and found this!  Based off of the performance of the soap above yesterday, I purchased it.  I will be curious to see if it gives the same performance!

Gents,

I changed my lathering technique slightly for today’s shave, and I could not be happier with how it turned out.  This is one of the BEST shave soaps I have used lather and performance wise!  The fragrance...good...old school...but it isn’t Creed Aventus or anything close!
