I grew up in the 60s and 70s and my recollection of men's cologne at the time was that they were more of a blunt instrument. I never watched my dad shave as he wasn't much of a sharing guy but I recall that he used a bar of baby soap for lather, a dyed boar knot that had no handle and what I now think would have been either a Slim or a Fatboy. No aftershave. I like that all of the Viking soaps I have are very subtley scented and very masculine
Never smelled it? Either you're a young pup or grew up in a monastery in the 80's - 90's!!
