Veritas - A special edition

I just had my 2nd shave with Veritas this morning.  WOW!  I just performed the best shave of my life.  I needed no pre or post products afterwards and my face feels fantastic.  I smeared a little on my face and it burst into a creamy lather that was slick and protective.  The scent is complex, multi-layered and very pleasant.  I left the tub uncovered last night and it has thickened up a lot.  It is hard to imagine how a shave could get any better.  Veritas est Optimus.

Thank you for sharing. Indeed the jars I have from the same batch are starting too look beautiful! The temps are 15° up! The jars now can sit on their side and the soap doesn't move!

I learnt a lot from this mistake! I can't wait to have additional space. I want to make many soupy soaps which I'll let cure for extended periods. I believe Grooming Dept soap benefit greatly from being uncovered all the time!

Veritas is such a lovely soap. There is something special about it. It could be the scent, one that I would purchase if a cologne. It could be the luxurious lather that kept absorbing water until it was shiny and more than slick enough for my straights. Or it could be the way my face felt afterwards, long, long after the shave. It's probably all three combined by some magical formula. Veritas is a masterpiece.

I am so happy about the concern from grooming dept. I did receive it and it was like a body lotion. I have not used it waiting for it to thicken up? But the smell is great. Look forward to the replacement. Again love doing business with people that are concerned about there product. And GD is truly one of them, GD is top 5 in soap company's in my mind>

On a side note I just LOVE the art work on the tub. LOVE IT.

After 3 days mine has finally hardened to a consistency that is usable for lathering but has shrunk considerably. In any case , the scent in my bathroom/bedroom has been fantastic while it was curing. I'll give it a go tonight and will report back.

The soap is already made. I placed an order for the labels on Friday. They're closed for Presidents Day today! I hope to have the label before the weekend and hopefully finish shipping the replacements by Saturday.

The scent may be the best Mohammad has ever done. I left mine uncovered in my bathroom for 3 days and it is now thick enough to store on its side but definitely lost a considerable amount due to evaporation. It will be great to have a replacement tub of this because it will get used a lot!! The Lusso base is now neck and neck at number 2 with the Mallard base for me. Of course the Donkey Milk, lamb tallow, duck fat combo is still the best soap in the world right now. Can’t wait for the next Mallard soaps to be released!! By the way, I am using the hell out of the pre shave and post shave serum and have barely made a dent in any of my containers of either. I think I “need” to get one more scented bottle of the post shave serum as I have one scented and one unscented. Anyway, trying to figure out if I “need” to get any of the aftershaves when they are released. Trying to figure out which one will be best for me. Assuming sensitive skin would need the non alcohol version. Any thoughts Mo?

I believe the alcohol free aftershaves to be an essential component of the Grooming Dept System I'm building. If you look a the ingredients, they're an entire set of ingredients that complements the serum. For example The alcohol free aftershave contains Niacinamide which is a phenomenal ingredient.

BTW. All ingredients Grooming Dept uses are available everywhere. I don't view anything as "Signature Ingredient"
