Users of only one Razor/Blade/Brush/Soap, what is your Razor/Blade/Brush/Soap..

It is perfectly fine to have variety in every aspect of shaving. So nothing against DFSers who are for different experience every day.

But I am curious to know about those who have settled into fixed items:

a) 1 Razor, different blades, soaps, brushes

b) different razors, one blade, different soaps, brushes

c) 1 Razor, 1 Blade, different soaps, brushes

I don't think we will find people with one soap/one brush. I have been shaving traditionally for almost two years. For the first year, I was strictly one of everything person. During my second I year, I went into trying different things. Now, I am inclined to drastically limit my razor and blade options. I haven't decided which ones yet, but I am almost there. Soaps/creams and brushes are two areas where I want to have variety. And may be straights. So let me know what is your 'one' item(s) if you have any.

I pretty much settled in on my Blackbird (for now.. I think. I hope).

Soaps, not sure I can settle with just one.


Astra SP's and Polsilver are still my go to, but I can settle with only one of them if I had to.

I'm trying to settle on maybe 2 or 3 razors, but my "one" item right now is actually a brush, the Tuxedo synthetic. Soaps and aftershaves are another story. I don't think I could ever settle on one or even 5 of those. I gotta have some variety in that area.

I have settled on Edwin Jagger as my razor, but I own several different styles for variety. I have settled on one blade. I have a rotation of 4 brushes, but could be perfectly happy with just my Omega boar brush. Soaps and aftershaves....I've collected so many that I won't be using just one for at least 9 years.

I like trying different products, but they usually don't stay in my den that long.

This is my set up for most shaves:

Razor: Above the Tie Atlas S1
Blade: Astra SP
Brush: Shavemac 2-Band Silvertip
Soap: Barrister & Mann

Sorry, Sourav, I'm just over two years into traditional wet shaving and I still don't think I've settled into anything.  I have lots of razors, blades, brushes, soaps, creams, and aftershaves.  I love the variety and trying new things (still.).  I guess I'm hopeless!

Razor: OneBlade (this could change once some newer SE razors are made for the GEM blades)

Blade: GEM PTFE

Different soaps and brushes, though still limited.

Brushes: Plisson synthetic or one of my four Bob Quinn Elite Razor Badger brushes.

Soaps: Nuàvia, B&M, Bufflehead, & SMN once I get a full tub.

I have lots of soaps/creams and could never do just one. I have 14ish synth brushes I rotate. However I only use my merkur 123c that I first started with and for past year astra green blades. I've tried others. I own a wet shave club ej clone, and a Maggard's m18c. The m18c is ok but still too agresssive for me. The clone was too agreeesive. The m18c with 123c handle is nice. So I only use one razor cause I can't find another similarly mild razor. As for the blades I started with derby(still have 180) and they gave ok with some irritation shaves. I tried a bunch others but found them too sharp/aggressive. Finally tried astra and never went back. Runners up would be crown or those Russian ones that start with v. Why fiddle with what works great. I'm actually considering using another 123c to have in case something ever happens to my current one. Not a lot of mild razors for people who consider the eh89d aggressive. I often see it called mild, then there's all these new razors that are more aggressive then it. My face says no thanks.

Also you didn't ask but I mainly used nivea sensitive cool asftershave balm for most my 2 years. Asides from some free stirling samples I tried and don't like. Last 2 months I've added two arko ones to my rotation as trial runs for replacing the Nivea if it stops being stocked in stores.

Nothing but Feather Artist Club Pro Super blades for me for the past 8 months. I use them in the Kai Captain Excelia and Feather AC DX straight razors, and in the ATT SE2 and Colonial General SE razors. I alternate between 2 Omega boar brushes, but could easily limit myself to either one. My variety is in soaps and aftershaves.
