I honestly believe, that if Gents used a proper pre shave routine, a good brush and a good shaving soap/cream and the same shaving technique you use with a DE/SE razor, they would get fantastic shaves from using most carts.

I disagree with this 100%. From my experience, you can't use the same technique with a cart. I recently had my first shave with one in over 1.5 years not too long ago and found that it's the complete opposite of shaving with any traditional razor. The cart required me to use pressure to cut any hair where, as we all know, with a DE/SE etc. you use little to no pressure. Totally different technique.

Has anyone used the feather neo cartridges? I've heard good things about them.

Could not shave my stubble to save my life. Dull as a Feather AS-D2, even with a Feather blade in it.

I get the best and closest shaves of my life adopting the DE/SE technique to my carts.

I just use a lot of buffing and J hooking instead of adding pressure with the cart, and make sure the Fusion cart is sharp - and I get a great result, like if I have been using the Mühle R41, Plisson or the ATT H2/H1

It just takes the stubbles off.

The Feather As-D2 is the dullest DE razor I have ever owned (opwned both models, the new and older one), and I could only use it for 1 day stubbles or it could not cut my stubble.

If I took an R41 on 2-3 days stubbles, the stubbles were GONE in 2 passes, with the Feather AS-D2 I could do 5-6 passes and still not cut my stubbles down.

Even though I'm Scandinavian, my stubbles are stiff as barb wire.

I've always been of the opinion to use whatever works best for you, regardless of what it is. if carts give you great shaves, great!!!

I tried using brush and soap with carts on my head, along with similar techniques as I use with DE safety razors, meaning hair reduction, multilpe passes and gentle pressure, if any at all, and I still walked away from every shave with ingrown hairs and irritation.

Perhaps it is because I shave my head and not my face? Perhaps my scalp is just susceptible to ingrown hairs? Perhaps it is the multi-blade systems that cut the hairs too close and allow them to recede below the scalp?

Not sure, honestly, but whatever the case, I do not get ingrowns with DE, SE, shavette or straight...so that is what I use...
