I'm going to add PannaCrema's Pure2O soap to this list. I don't know if it's necessarily underrated or not, but it is never talked about. Probably because there are only 2 scents, Vetiver and the DFS Special Edition. I used the DFS today and it is truly an incredible soap! I don't know why I don't use it more often. Some of the slickest stuff I've ever used for sure!

That's not a selling point for me. We have several artisans in the hobby that are veterans. If the product doesn't perform, the product won't sell. If it performs well, no need to advertised the veteran owned aspect as the product speaks for itself.

Not trying to be negative just pointing out that we have a lot of artisans and vendors with a military background. It should be respected, certainly, but it's not a selling point, or at least it shouldn't be in my opinion...

I really need to revisit the DFS Pure₂O I have, because every time I have used it, I have been mightily impressed. Glad you brought this soap up!

Em's shave soap is one that I never see mentioned anywhere, but it's actually quite good.

Old Spice cream, Godrej cream, Palmolive cream are some other low-key favorites of mine.

I know. When you have so many soaps in the den, sometimes some really good ones get overlooked. I think the thing that deters me from using it more is actually the tub that it's in. It's got to be my least favorite packaging ever. It is very flimsy and too small diameter to easily get a good load on the brush. The label is pretty lame, IMO as well. Maybe I'll transfer it to another container at some point.

Completely agree on all points. Pure₂O really deserves better packaging — I just took mine out today, and the diameter of the jar isn’t great, but what’s really sad is that label, with its constantly peeling corners and the odd placement of the logos and names (you can never see it all in one glimpse).

As has been demonstrated elsewhere, subpar design and typography is part of the reason for the mix-up at the Academy Awards this year. These things do matter, even though they may be so-called first world problems…

I agree on Pure2O. I actually feel it's a slightly better performer than Nauvia, and that's not to take away from Nuavia either.

You guys nailed it on the head. It's not really the performance, cause it's good and reliable. It's the packaging that's casting a shadow to this good base.

So the comment that really surprised me is the one about it being a better performer than Nuavia. Would most of you agree with that? I have never tried the Pure soaps but have Nuavia Blu and Rossa and they are the best performers I have.
