Sweet. I can't wait to hear what you think. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Just load it like SV, it can take the onslaught.

Awesome soap and a puck of it will last forever.

Loved the post shave feel and lather, but I have soaps that take 1/2 the time to do the same thing (Not the post shave though except for Mikes). I see why it has its followers though. I'll keep playing with it for the next few weeks.

Tone, The underlying issue isn't unappreciated soaps but simple access or ignorance in the midst of this renaissance of wetshaving and enabling global economy.
De Vergulde Hande is, without challenge the oldest shaving soap on the market. How many vendors carry it? You would think with so much of this pursuit mere fad and fancy; the alleged best, newest, most elusive or shilled that the gravitas of time would make it a top seller. My Friesian grandfather used it yet I have never seen it sold anywhere aside from the maker's website. Zartgefuhl Ziegen Bart? One US retailer stocks it. A counterintuitive cult performer missing, like my oomlauts from most alleged knowledgeable shaver's awareness let alone cabinet.
And that, is the unappreciated factor. Shaving is tribal with internecine wars for a slice of the pie small minds decided had to be a standard ten inch aluminum tin but substituted a stamped steel dustbin lid of censored communication.

I also like the scents which have above average strength to them. I would recommend them to anyone who hasn't given them a shot.

I have to absolutely agree with this. I have only 4 Dapper Dragon scents, but they are all awesome and their performance is 100% top notch!

Ya know, it's funny how this soap (MWF) is always in the cross hairs of this type of tug of war. Those who love it will go to whatever lengths to defend its absolute phenomenal performance. Then, those who have had no luck with it, have no problem publicizing its failure in their shave den.

I, myself have had nothing but incredible results with MWF, and get great lathers that result in great Shaves. What the paradox is, is the fact that both ends of the spectrum come from experienced Wet Shavers. So, it's not the wet shaver who's at fault, but then again, I don't think it's the soap either because just as many Shavers have great experiences with it, so.... what is it??? LOL

MWF is a freakin mystery!

They were big around 5-10 years ago, but have fallen off a bit. I live near the shop and was just there yesterday. They've added some nice accessories as well, like the dopp kits in the picture.

Fully agree. In fact their cream is my inspiration for my own brushless/brush shaving cream.

I'm gonna have to try Nancy Boy; I'm very very fond of creams.

It is totally bizarre to watch anything in wet shaving right now. People will go to great lengths to defend things like wolfman/oneblade/ATT/whatever..........even when you put something right in front of someone's face and show them the product sucks they will STILL defend it. That has been the strangest thing for me to watch for the last few years. Before that there were razors/soaps that people talked about, but nowhere near the amount of razors and soaps that there are now.

Jeeves is definitely an excellent soap that you do not hear enough about. Mountain Rain is a real winner for gentle, spring/summer scents.
