Congratulations on the knot extraction, David and I hope you decide on an appropriate knot!

I wish these handles were available to accommodate a 30mm knot as I would set one of my LS Finest 2-Band knots into one of these! Shy

Thanks, I think I just got lucky getting it out easily and I don't think I'll go wrong with either knot I'm thinking about.

I have another (vintage C-Mon) handle on the way (Ebay) that'll get whatever knot I don't choose for this brush.

Hi Dave,

I'm really sorry I didn't get back with you. I haven't been on in a while. I see you got some feedback.

I really enjoy my brush, but YMMV. I'm glad to see you were able to pull the knot and I'd love to see what you replace it with. The handles are beautiful!

I put a TGN High Mountain White knot in the handle for now as I had one laying around.  I just used some silicone to set it so that I could remove it later on and easily replace it with something else.  I do like the HMW knot that I installed but even that one is a little too floppy for my taste as I prefer something in a 2 band Silvertip. I set the knot fairly deep into the handle and that helps.  This knot is a noticeable improvement from the one that came with the brush.  The original knot wasn't bad, no scritch at all and it felt great but it had a lot more splay than I wanted.  I probably could have gotten better results from it had I set it deeper into the handle as well.

I was thinking a knot from Scott at Declaration (L&L) but I just sent him a Rubberset 400 to put a knot in.  So, I'm thinking maybe a Manchurian White from Elite Razor is what will most likely end up in there.  I've been wanting to try that knot as well.

Scott is the best there is. A handle like that is deserving of a Declaration knot Smile.
