Picture taken within an hour after receiving tornado warning in Central Florida.  The tornado touched down approximately 10 miles from where this was taken that same morning (Thursday).

If I were under a tornado warning, I would not want my cherished shave gear anywhere near a window.

I am glad you weathered the storm unscathed. It has been heartbreaking viewing all the wind, storm surge, and flood damage from Helene. The hurricane was so large, it spun up tornados far from its core.

Ray, if you are going to question my judgement or even my sanity, please note that there is a long line for that express purpose, originally headed up by my parents.

It sounds like I am in excellent company. Take care, be well!

I am in central KY.... that dang thing has been rotating on us for 3 days. I lost a 75 year old holly, a red bud, and one old cedar for blown crooked. A black locust lost a huge limb. I have some chain saw work next week. . The wind hit mid 60s, and that coupled with the moisture made for a tough environment for my trees. ?

I am sorry about the damage, but consider yourself blessed to have been west of the hills of Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Tennessee, and Western North Carolina where flood damage was devastating. We need to pray for people in those areas, especially for families who lost loved ones. Many people are still missing. Hopefully, they got to higher ground.

I wish I were younger such that I could help with the recovery effort. At my age, the best I can do is contribute to disaster relief organizations that can help.

Roger that Ray. I feel so bad for those folks. Eastern Ky has been hit twice pretty hard in the last 3 years.
