Top synthetics

since I really haven't bought any brushes in more than a year (i only use synthetics now).  This past week I ordered:

Simpsons T3
Simpsons Chubby 2 Synthetic
Omega Evo Ceramic White
Shavemac Custom Synthetic 26mm (bulb knot)
4 diff Yaqi brushes with Tuxedo Knot (those are the only ones that already got here). 3 are bulb 26mm and one is fan 26mm.  This was safe since it was the cheapest and the tuxedo knot is my favorite knot in other brands. 

After I receive them (some might take a while, since coming from europe, spain etc) and use them each for a while, i will make a comparisson and pick my favorites.

I love it. Where did you buy the Evo from - seems to be sold out everywhere. Looking forward to getting your reviews. Thanks

I used the T3 today. It's outstanding. I like it better than the Kong and the Plissoft, which I think are both excellent. I ordered the Chubby 2 synthetic just now - I'll let you know how I find that one.

What's the backbone like, does it have much or not?

I believe the new synthetic fibers have opened the eyes of many users.
Only those who love a marked backbone or an aggressive scrub effect do not find them good.
They generally have a quality / price ratio that is difficult to compare with natural ones.

For me, the thinner the fiber, the more efficient I find it.
This is because the density increases, which is the motor of the brush.
Some very fine fibers (Oumo Mother Lode, Simpson Sovereign, Frank Shaving G4, Yaqi SK07 Cashmere) require careful setting.
The first two I find a node with a larger section is also useful.
But anyway, a tuft length shorter than the golden rule of the naturals. (Ratio 1: 2)
The thinner and more delicate the fiber, the lower the percentage.
With Mother Lode I find a 28x50mm setup excellent.
With Yaqi Cashmere I prefer 24x50mm.
Sometimes different manufacturers offer similar, but not identical, fibers.
For example, Oumo Mother Lode is more delicate than Yaqi Mink.
So the settings must also take this difference into account.

A special note, in favor of the more delicate fibers, is for those suffering from skin problems. (Dermatitis)
In this case, a good fiber setting is absolutely crucial.

For me, among the many I have tried, the most balanced brush is my Cashmere.
Both for fiber, which is a right medium in the various characteristics.
And for the customization of the handle and the tuft setting.
This makes it absolutely perfect for my preferences.

Many manufacturers today offer the ability to customize the loft settings.
I highly recommend looking for and taking advantage of this option.

I do have the motherlode 24 so I can compare it. It's set a little deep because of the handle I had at that moment. I really like it but it's a bit of work to get soap from the middle, a flow through situation. Just curious how the aforementioned ones line up. The softness and little backbone are my preferences.
